Today was a wonderful day! How was your day? A nail bitter! Full of worry or anxiety? Pure frustration! Just another day?
Friday starts with Yoga for Common Aches and Pains at the Lohse Y here in Tucson. A great group of people come together to explore the body they own, the breath they experience and a quieter mind. Learning the art of effortless movement with a long smooth inhale and exhale is never as easy as one might imagine.
No, there were no rivers of sweat running down any backs, unless of course,it was a hot flash. Yes, mini yoga is alive and well. The acceptance of our life experience does help ease bodily pain. The beauty of the spirit is the most important standout here. Laughter and smiles are far more important than a handstand any day.
Looking for solutions for someone with limited mobility keeps my mind alert. How can a one size massage fit everyone. Like a yoga practice needs to be adapted to the students ability so does the application of body work needs to address the problems being presented.
