Yes, I said my students my hope! Looking around at all of my students in my various classes I see transformation. The transformation I see didn't happen over night. It happened over several months for some and several years for others. The amount of time is secondary to the fact that these individuals created change within themselves that they didn't think possible.
Now just guess how I feel. Amazed is my first thought. Thankful is my second thought. And thirdly is believe or not non-attachment. The more I work with the human body the more it amazes me. The potential for change is beyond my wildest imagining. The can happen moment occurs in the briefest of seconds. And my most favorite student response is : I can't do it! (repeated numerous times while they perform the impossible feat.)
The hardest part in all of this transformation is teaching effortless movement link to the breath. In American we are trained at an early age to push and to push even harder if we first don't succeed. How foreign therefore is backing off and being present to the clues that we send our selves? My students my hope! To bring digestion from the gut up through the entire being!
Just food for thought!
