The longer I have been working on the body human, the more I find it as just amazing. Think of the body as a not just a series of parts but as an ocean of many rivers,streams,creeks with islands, continents and a variety of borders.
When did you last receive a detailed map of the body and your mind in relationship to your life. Oh yes, the x-ray,CT scan,PET scan, or even the MRI are maps of sorts but hard to navigate.
Touch begins a two way level of communication. In massage these days everyone asks for deep tissue massage and expects strong force applied to the body. What happens when you close your hand in a drawer. Do you want to repeat the process. Most people will tell you no. But in massage you want someone pounding on you? My favorite is you can go deeper.while there is no change in tissue tone. What is the awareness of the mind in the area any way.

Learning the art of effortless movement with a long smooth inhale and exhale is never as easy as one might imagine.
No, there were no rivers of sweat running down any backs, unless of course,it was a hot flash. Yes, mini yoga is alive and well. The acceptance of our life experience does help ease bodily pain. The beauty of the spirit is the most important standout here. Laughter and smiles are far more important than a handstand any day.
Looking for solutions for someone with limited mobility keeps my mind alert. How can a one size massage fit everyone. Like a yoga practice needs to be adapted to the students ability so does the application of body work needs to address the problems being presented.
