Life is a beginning which constantly evolves. I could have or should have doesn't define the self. And yes, I keep repeating this mantra going in my being.
Peace of mind comes from repeating mantra, a non religious prayer. Well-being is what most of us want. We are lucky these days, we can do more than at anytime in the past. Things that would have killed us are being made safer. Have you ever ridden in a stage coach? Soon we will have cars that drive themselves. Gone will be the worry of dodging traffic.
So what worry shall we replace? Will we continue to evolve into a seated creature with aches and pains. Will we continue to ask for magic pills? Will we continue to allow modern life to distract us from ourselves? Do we really need sound ever possible moment, waking or sleeping?
Are there things from our past that we need to bring back? Roman Baths?
Yes, change is the only constant in life. In the background is the former location of my yoga therapy classes. I was just informed that the Yoga studio I was using to teach 2 of my classes is now closing.
I must admit that I am one of these teachers who is dedicated to my students. And my students are great. So when I have to stop a class, I feel bad. Yoga is the process of focus. To focus you must practice. When injury has been part of your life, practice usually changes.
Changing my yoga practice opened a new door to healing my long term injury. Even if change is swift, the practice of breath awareness needs a gentle focus. When mending a movement pattern, a new focus is required and force may not be beneficial. So let this be the start of a self discussion around the changes in your life.
